Corningware stovetop, the only numbers are P114U

This is more of a mystery than a review. I recently inherited this 6 cup coffee pot from my grandmother. As you can see from the attached pictures it is Corningware with the traditional blue flowers on white.

The sad thing is that I've never had coffee from this pot. It is obvious how it goes together, other than the black plastic plunger/stop, and that the coffee must go in the filter basket.

But, after that I'm lost. If someone can tell me how to brew coffee in this pot I would be very grateful and happy to write a review.
