Sensors stopped working properly when the machine was slightly over a year old. We called the company and were told we could ship it back for repair but it was at our own expense. The customer service was VERY rude. Thank goodness we bought this machine at Costco. They took it back with no problem at all.
This machine is not cheap and we bought it for the burr grinder. Cuisinart seems to be going steadily downhill in both quality and service. This is the second of their appliances we've had recently that has had serious malfunctions. We saw other bad reviews from people with similar experiences after we purchased it.
Do yourself a favor and DON'T BUY THIS MACHINE! We've decided to go with Breville for the burr grinder and brew the coffee in a plain old fashioned coffeemaker. At least they work.
